Junior Age Policy – The age of a Junior member or guest is 7 to 20 years old. Waiver from this rule will be considered by the club board on a case by case basis.
Adult Supervision Policy - Members or guests age 7 to 10 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during club functions.
Adult Member Policy – Adults members over 21 may participate as sponsors, instructors, instructor helpers and supporters of the club. All club policies apply.
Sign in Policy – A registration desk will be set-up at all club functions. Everyone signs in and out. Dancers age 7 to 14 must be signed in and out by a parent or guardian. Dancers age 15 and above can sign themselves in and out.
Re-Entry Policy – Juniors must stay in the building unless signed out and leaving. Re-entry will not be permitted unless it is an emergency, pre-approved by the registration desk and accompanied by an adult club member.
Guest Policy – Members are encouraged to invite guests to observe lessons so they can determine if they are interested in joining. All club policies apply to guests. Guests will not be allowed to take lessons until they have joined the club.
Emergency Contact Policy – All members must complete an emergency contact form when joining the club and it will be kept at the registration desk. The emergency contact form will also provide space for listing any emergency medical or health information the parent or guardian thinks is necessary.
Drug and Alcohol Policy – The club prohibits the use of any tobacco, alcohol or drugs at all meetings and lessons.
Grievance Policy – A parent/guardian or club member who disagrees with a decision made by the board or with a club policy, will be allowed to challenge the action by requesting a private meeting with the board. If a membership has been canceled for any reason, the parent may petition the board to reactivate the membership under new circumstances.
Disciplinary Policy – This club is for those wishing to learn the dance. Any class disturbances (talking, playing, fighting, etc.) will not be tolerated. Any student misbehaving will be warned three (3) times before consulting with a parent or guardian. If the parental consultation does not help the behavior of the student, the student will set out of the lesson and the parent will have to accompany the student to the next returning lesson. If the undesired behavior continues, the board may elect to suspend the student from membership for a period of time to be determined by the board.
Lesson Start Policy – Most lessons will be set-up in three to six week sessions and new members will not be allowed to start after the first lesson of a series. Exceptions can be made if it is determined the Junior knows the steps required to join the series in process.
Lesson Size Policy – Class size may be limited depending on the type of class. If a limit is set, current members will have first chance to fill the class. If openings remain new members or those on the waiting list to become members will be offered the open slots. Maximum size for the Basic Shag series will be 40 Juniors.
Club Dues Policy – We have not set club dues at this time, but will once we are fully organized and determine what our expenses will be. Dues will be kept to a minimum.

1. Be prompt in attendance so we can complete the lesson or meeting in the scheduled time frame.
2. Remember to use the restroom before beginning class.
3. The use of cell phones is not allowed while class is in session.
4. No food, candy or chewing gum during class.
5. A water bottle may be brought to class for use during breaks.
6. No playing around, arguing or talking during class time.
7. No fighting on meeting premises.
8. Wear proper clothing and shoes to class.
9. No toys are permitted during lessons and meetings.
10. Do not bring friends or guests to class unless they want to be a member.
11. The use of tobacco, alcohol and drugs are prohibited and will not be tolerated.
12. Backtalk, disrespect or rudeness to anyone will not be tolerated during any club function.
13. Once signed in, you will not be allowed to leave the building unless signed out by a parent or guardian.
